A violin by Antoni Ruschil, "The Crown Prince" London 2025

“The Crown Prince, 2025” is a handcrafted original violin made by Antoni Ruschil in the Ruschil workshop, London. Made from exceptionally rare 125 year old prime maple, it is a violin a century and a quarter in the making. The wood has travelled around the world over many decades, being cut in a Balkan forest around 1900, then making its way to America in the mid 20th century, on to Japan in the 21st century and finally to London to be made into a fine violin.

Created to replicate the very successful modelling of, “The Argyle, 2024” it is a violin that stands out for excellence in tone, beauty & construction. Refined meticulously for playability, working with the finest concert violinists in the world, it has been made to perform at the highest level, effortlessly.

Tonally the violin is strong, rich, clear and prestigious sounding. Owing to the great age of the wood used, it has a refined, mature sound also, with great subtlety and texture in the strings.
