Cello:
Full size cello by English maker, Roger Rose, 1996
価格: 17,000GBP
This cello is based on an original by Gofreddo Capra 1644 to 1717, Turin, Italy. It was origianlly made for a freeland cellist and viol player and who owned the original and it is currently owned by a cello teacher and player.
Roger Rose, the maker of the cello said: “I had to use double bass wood to get the high arch of the front and back; the high arch probably accounts for the sweet, round sound of this cello.” It is Roger Rose's 174th instrument.
Roger Rose's current price for making a cello is £25,000.
The tone of this cello really fundementally cuts through texture without being dominant and would make an ideal cello for string quartets. It has a wonderful bass register that makes its projection effortless, while still remaining beautifully mellow. The cello is currently with 23 Violins in Banbury and has been thoroughly checked. It currently has a new set of strings. As well as an easy cello to play, this instrument would make a good investment.
