Double Bass:
3/4 size double bass, Neuner & Hornsteiner, 1905

Since I primarily play full-size orchestral basses, I am offering this wonderful 3/4 double bass. According to the label, it is an instrument from the renowned Neuner&Hornsteiner workshop, dating from 1905 and in its original condition (solid-wood construction, arched back, beautiful original veneer).
The instrument has been completely overhauled (opened up, cleaned, new neck and ebony fingerboard/nut, bridge, and tailpiece). It was then optimally adjusted for playability and tone by my bass doctor.
The result is an instrument that is very comfortable to play (D-scale 104.5 cm, body 109 cm, upper/lower curve 49 cm/63 cm), which has plenty of power and surprising depth for its size. Thanks to its slim neck, this double bass is also ideally suited for electric bassists! The asking price is CHF 7,800, including a bag. The instrument can be tested in Zug or Zurich.
